Soon, dad sees the light at the tip of his crankshaft. "Where are we?" Ask the children. "It's hot in here," says mom. And now many people, laughing, come near and watch them. It's funny to see the Canadian dad, mom and children with snow suits in the tropical climate. Dad recognizes the face of Jason, his Chinese friend who came to Taiwan to celebrate the Chinese New Year. "Well, children," said Dad, "we’ve dug a tunnel all the way to Asia!"
Bientôt, papa voit de la lumière à la pointe de son vilebrequin. «Mais où sommes-nous ?» demandent les enfants. «Il fait chaud ici» dit maman. Et voilà que plusieurs personnes s’approchent et les regardent en riant. C’est drôle de voir le papa, la maman et les enfants canadiens avec des habits de neige en plein climat tropical. Papa reconnaît le visage de Jason, son ami chinois venu à Taïwan pour y célébrer le Nouvel An chinois. «Et bien les enfants, dit papa, nous avons creusé un tunnel jusqu’en Asie !»
陷入昏暗之中不久，爸爸看到了前方似乎有光源。一群人就這樣穿越光源，來到另一個世界 「我們在哪?」 孩子們異口同聲的問了爸爸。 「這裡好熱，」媽媽說。 這裡是台灣，路上的人們不斷打量著這一家人，看到他們在炎熱氣候下穿著厚重的衣服，人們都覺得很不可思議。 突然間，爸爸看到了他的台灣朋友傑森，他正要在台灣和家人一起度過新年。 「嗯...孩子們，我想我們可能發現了一條秘密通道了，而且這條隧道正好通到台灣!」
